Clocked-Out (“Clocked-Out,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a cybersecurity education website owned and operated by Powered By Knowledge LLC, a limited liability company organized in Wyoming, United States.

We believe visitors should be able to access educational content without unnecessary tracking or profiling. We design our website to minimize the personal information collected while maintaining useful features, website security, and opportunities for visitors to provide feedback.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, processed, stored, and used when visiting https://clocked-out.com (the “Website”).

This policy applies exclusively to the Website. It does not govern separate mobile applications, external purchasing platforms, or other independently operated services, which may have their own policies.

A. Anonymous, Aggregated Website Statistics

Clocked-Out uses a custom-built, privacy-focused analytics system to understand general website activity and performance.

Our application analytics store aggregated daily counts rather than individual visitor activity.

B. Voluntary Feedback

Certain articles, educational explanations, and games allow visitors to submit feedback.

Feedback features may include helpfulness ratings, positive or negative selections, and optional written comments.

When written feedback is submitted, our system stores:

When visitors voluntarily contact us by email, we receive the sender’s email address, message contents, and any information included in the correspondence.

We use this information to respond to inquiries, address concerns, and conduct necessary business communications.

We do not use ordinary support correspondence for unsolicited marketing.

E. Technical and Security Information

Clocked-Out uses Cloudflare for website hosting, content delivery, and security infrastructure.

When a visitor connects to the Website, Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser characteristics, request URLs, timestamps, and security-related data as necessary to operate its services.

Cloudflare’s processing is separate from the aggregate-only information retained in our custom analytics database.

We do not use Cloudflare’s infrastructure data to intentionally create personal advertising profiles of Website visitors.

3. Browser Storage, Cookies, and Similar Technologies

Clocked-Out does not use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking cookies, or cookies for its custom analytics system.

However, the Website uses browser localStorage to support certain features and remember preferences.

LocalStorage is stored in the visitor’s browser. Most locally stored information is not transmitted to our servers.

A feedback submission identifier may be stored both in localStorage and in our feedback database to associate a local feedback record with its corresponding submission.

Visitors can generally clear localStorage through their browser’s website-data controls, although doing so may reset preferences, scores, and locally remembered feedback.

Cloudflare Security Cookies

Cloudflare may use cookies or comparable mechanisms necessary for security and authentication.

In particular, our restricted administrative area uses Cloudflare Access, which may set authentication or session cookies, including CF_AppSession, for authorized administrative users.

Other Cloudflare security protections may use cookies when necessary to distinguish legitimate requests or prevent abuse.

These mechanisms are not used by Clocked-Out for advertising or behavioral profiling.

4. How We Use Information

Information processed through the Website is used for the following purposes:

Clocked-Out does not sell personal information or share visitor information for targeted advertising.

Cloudflare: Website delivery, hosting, Cloudflare D1 data storage, security, and protected administrative access.

Google Search Console: Aggregated search performance and indexing information.

Google Workspace: Business email communication and correspondence.

Service providers may process information in accordance with their applicable agreements, privacy practices, and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the Website, our legal rights, or the safety of others.

6. Data Retention

Feedback Submissions

We currently retain submitted written feedback, associated submission identifiers, and submission timestamps without a predetermined expiration date.

Our feedback system does not currently implement automatic deletion of stored feedback.

Feedback therefore remains in our database until it is manually removed, our retention practices change, or deletion is otherwise carried out.

Where applicable law requires deletion or limits retention, those requirements take precedence over our general retention practice.

Aggregated Analytics

Our analytics database maintains aggregate counts and collection timestamps rather than individual visitor records.

These statistics may be retained for historical website performance comparisons.

Local Browser Storage

Information stored in localStorage generally remains until it is overwritten or cleared through the Website or the visitor’s browser.

Email and Infrastructure Records

Email correspondence may be retained for legitimate communication, administrative, security, and legal purposes.

Cloudflare and other infrastructure providers may apply separate retention periods to technical records processed through their systems.

7. Privacy Rights and Requests

8. Do Not Track and Privacy Preference Signals

Clocked-Out does not use cross-site behavioral advertising or sell personal information.

Because our Website does not engage in these activities, browser Do Not Track signals do not generally change the operation of our aggregate analytics or essential website functions.

Where legally applicable, we will honor recognized privacy preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, in connection with processing activities to which those signals apply.

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect the Website and information stored through it.

These include encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted administrative access, Cloudflare infrastructure protections, and application-level security controls.

Access to submitted feedback through our internal administration tools is limited to the Website operator.

Although we take security seriously, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Clocked-Out is operated by a United States company and is accessible to visitors internationally.

Information may be processed in the United States or in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Where applicable data-protection laws apply to our activities, we will comply with relevant requirements concerning lawful processing, international transfers, privacy rights, and retention.

Accessing the Website from outside the United States does not, by itself, mean that every foreign privacy law governs all of our activities.
